Sompo Museum of art, in Shinjuku, was established in 1976. It is one of the main majour museums in Tokyo that collects Van Gogh’s ‘Sunflower’, Gauguin, Cezanne, and other artworks, and holds exhibitions 5 times a year.

This museum, which is also trying to find young people, has held the 8th competition. On the condition of “a truly powerful work regardless of age or affiliation” , they called art works from all over Japan.

The exhibition called off due to the influence of the coronavirus, but this time 71 prize-winning works selected from 875 works applied from all over Japan were exhibited.
